Historical Evolution of the Metaverse

The evolution of the metaverse has been an interesting journey of improvement in milestones.

The metaverse has come a long way from what it was when it was just the thought of a fantasy writer to where is it now today, which is on the verge of reality. The metaverse was actually virtually nonexistent in the time of when you had to log into the actual internet, it was just a concept of people when the author Neal Stephenson’s novel SnowCrash was published. Neal’s novel of characters that entered the a VR world from what was called the metaverse, snowcrash.

Historical Evolution of the Metaverse

This depiction of a virtual reality world has been depicted in different of times throughout different science fiction novels. But back to the point, the metaverse started of from a Necklace or the warded off evil eye, because it used a worldview that depended on what the wearer thinks.

The first big implementation of the actual concept of the metaverse was when multiplayer online games came into play during the early 2000s, mostly the game called Second Life, where you can decide how you want to look in the game and have real time conversations with other avatars.unteer to enter this first big multyplayer online world for users.

During the beginning metaverse only could be accessed on game counsel but now people have access to it on their actual smartphones. Magic Leap and Oculus are two nowknown startup companies that use VR goggles and augment reality goggles (for the price of $3,000 for the headset alone).

The metaverse future seems to be prosperous for the future, people expect more use with augments and different technologies coming out together. Everyone is going to have their different part in the metaverse future.

Why would people be hyped about it? These VR companies think that gaming companies are is going to be solved by using the metaverse.

The metaverse opens new opportunities in gaming technology and being useful in every aspect of like, allowing use to try things like VR shopping and VR vacations all of which are pretty independent tasks… at least for now.
